Breaking: Twitter Hacked by Iranian Cyber Army
Twitter was hacked by a group that calls itself the ”Iranian Cyber Army.” at around 10 P.M Pacific Time. The group managed to bypass Twitter’s security, and defaced the website. Twitter was then took down for a few minutes. Though, it appears to be back up now.
It is highly recomended that all current Twitter users change their password from Twitter and even other accounts if they use the same password.
Twitter is absolutely no stranger to security issues. Back in august the microblogging service was taken down by hackers. There have also been reports of stolen administrative passwords, hacked celebrity accounts, and the theft of secret company documents.
Update: The Official Twitter Status page explains that “Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed.”
