If you already have Google Earth 5.0, you’re just one step away from exploring the moon in a new manner, through Moon in Google Earth.
20th July 2009 marks 40th anniversary of Edwin, “Buzz” Aldrin and Neil Armstrong’s historic walk on the moon. On this Ocassion, Google has teamed up with NASA to bring a virtual tour of the earth to the masses.
Moon in Google Earth features narrations by Apollo astronauts, includes rare clips and actual footage from the Apollo missions, and lets you interact with the program to zoom in on photographs for a clearer, more realistic view. If you don’t have Google Earth, or have a previous version, you’ll need to upgrade to Google Earth 5.0 to download and begin using Moon in Google Earth.
